Jeffrey Colbath is the former Chief Judge of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County Florida. He was elected Judge in 1991 and served as Chief Judge from July of 2009 to July of 2013. Previous to the Chief Judge position, Colbath served as the Administrative Judge of the Circuit Criminal Division of the Court which included a divisional caseload in addition to administrative responsibilities. During his tenure as a judge, Colbath presided over civil, family, probate and criminal divisions.
Prior to his time on the bench, Colbath was a civil trial lawyer, handling personal injury, wrongful death, premise liability, product liability, construction defects, contract disputes and employment matters.
